Grant Funding

GRANT FUNDING REQUEST

Overview
The Cumberland North Yarmouth Lions Club accepts grant applications from community groups that align with our Core Charitable Causes. Our goal is to do the most good for the most people. Grants approved generally range from $50 to $1000. Organizations must submit an annual application letter to be considered for funding, providing information about their budget, mission, and goals. The single page letter must identify how the organization supports or provides benefits to Cumberland North Yarmouth, how many of our community members are assisted, and a requested dollar amount. Requests are reviewed in April. A member of our Board may contact you for additional information. All applications must be received no later than April 25 to be considered during our final Board of Directors meeting in May. If an application is approved (in whole or in part,) checks will be mailed before June 30 directly to the recipient organization’s address listed in the application letter.

Eligibility Checklist
The grant must benefit the Cumberland North Yarmouth Community. Potential grantees should be nonprofit organizations with programs that address this goal. The applicant must justify how the grant fits within our core charitable causes, or benefits local residents.
